In cooperation between the Center for Safety of Pharmaceutical Products and the International Pharmaceutical Regulators Programme (IPRP), a number of important events aimed at harmonizing international approaches to the assessment of the quality and bioequivalence of medicinal products are planned.

In order to ensure the implementation of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Medicines and Pharmaceutical Activities,” as well as the Presidential Decree of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated August 19, 2025, No. PF–137 “On Additional Measures to Regulate the Circulation of Medicines and Medical Devices,” four important regulatory legal documents in the field of pharmaceuticals and medical technologies were approved last week by relevant orders of the Ministry of Health.

The Metrology Service of the Ministry of Health regularly carries out planned activities to assess the condition of medical measuring instruments and to verify them in accordance with established procedures in private medical institutions across the republic.

Within the framework of scientific research aimed at ensuring the quality and safety of locally produced medicinal products, a dissertation devoted to the development of standardization and quality control methods for the medicinal product “Ekustim” has been presented.

In carrying out quality control of medicinal products and medical devices in the Republic of Uzbekistan, priority is given to the general pharmacopoeial monographs, pharmacopoeial monographs and testing methods established in the State Pharmacopoeia of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with Article 8 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 4, 2016 No. LRU–399 “On Medicines and Pharmaceutical Activities,” the State Pharmacopoeia shall be published by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan at least once every five years.

Based on the decision of the Tashkent Interdistrict Economic Court, license No. 488 issued on 13 October 2022 to “NISHAN PHARM BUSINESS” Limited Liability Company for the retail sale of medicinal products and medical devices has been revoked.

​​​​​​​The Order of the Minister of Health “On Approval of the Regulation on the Procedure for Conducting Clinical Trials of Pharmacological and Medicinal Products” has been officially registered with the Ministry of Justice (registration No. 3745 dated 6 January 2026).

​​​​​​​By Order of the Minister of Health dated 28 November 2025 No. 367, comprehensive measures have been approved to align technical requirements for pharmaceutical products and medical devices with leading international standards.

​​​​​​​By Order of the Minister of Health dated 22 December 2025 No. 27,“On Approval of the Regulation on the Procedure for Conducting Clinical Investigations of Medical Devices,” the document was officially registered with the Ministry of Justice (registration No. 3746 dated 7 January 2026).
