Uzbekistan’s National Regulatory Authority Becomes Full Member of the GHWP

As previously reported, the 28th Global Harmonization Working Party (GHWP) meeting is currently being held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. At the event, Alisher Temirov, Director of the Pharmaceutical Products Safety Center of Uzbekistan, representing the country, delivered a presentation on the topic "Ensuring the Quality Control of Medical Devices and Medical Equipment in Uzbekistan."

In his speech, he highlighted the efforts being made in Uzbekistan to ensure the safety of medical devices and equipment, as well as the importance of international cooperation.

It is worth noting that at this important event, the application for the Pharmaceutical Products Safety Center’s membership in GHWP was unanimously approved by the leadership and members of GHWP. Thus, Uzbekistan’s national regulatory authority was accepted as a full member of GHWP.

For your information, GHWP is an international organization focused on the regulation of pharmaceutical products and medical devices, with the goal of harmonizing global standards and strengthening compliance to ensure the safety and quality of medicines and medical equipment.

Currently, more than 30 regulatory authorities from countries around the world are members of GHWP, including those from Europe, the USA, Japan, Korea, China, and several other countries. Uzbekistan's membership in this prestigious organization will provide opportunities to work in accordance with international regulatory standards, exchange best practices, and jointly address challenges in the field.
