The specialists of the Samarkand regional subsidiary of the State Center discussed the issues of the digital marking system

Following the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 2, 2022, "On the introduction of the mandatory digital marking system of drugs and medical products," on September 19 of this year, specialists working at the subsidiary of the State Center for Expertise and Standardization of Medical Equipment and Equipment in Samarkand Region brought up the issues of digital marking system during a meeting.

Iskandar Inogamov, the leading specialist of the Department of Digital Marking of Medicines and Medical Products of the State Center, shared the following instruction with the participants.

- Local manufacturers to undergo certification within 90 days from the date of introduction of the mandatory digital marking procedure for drugs and medical products until the date of opening of the digital compulsory marking procedure (the date indicated on the packaging) and without digital marking;

- Explanation of the fact that foreign manufacturers are allowed to undergo certification and customs regime of "free circulation (import)" of products produced before the date of introduction of the mandatory digital marking procedure (date indicated on the packaging) and non-digitally marked products within 180 days given.

Also, organizers gave detailed answers to the questions asked by the experts of the Certification Body of the Samarkand Regional Subsidiary of the State Center and the Testing Center.

We remind you that following the Cabinet of Ministers' relevant decision, the mandatory digital marking system of drugs and medical products is set to be gradually introduced during 2022-2025.
